So. Anyway. I am going to wrap my current WIP (about the selkie) and see if I can find it a home, and then I'm gonna pivot back to finish CoB, even if it feels a little like peeling off my own skin under a spotlight.

It's also a book concerned largely with the logistics of housing and protecting what are essentially illegal immigrants and staging a rebellion when you are yourself broke and sick and have no idea what you're doing, and that makes it exhausting to write but also exactly the book for this moment.

And it's largely a book about mourning for fathers and the relationship you never had and coming to peace with the one you DID have, which is a wound I'm gonna have to reopen in myself and bleed out on the page. BUT

I've been dragging my feet on finishing CAGE OF BONES for a while now for a lot of reasons. The first two books in the series haven't sold well at all, so putting more energy into finishing the trilogy feels like a waste. Surely I should work on other stuff, right? 1/?
