Maybe I'm totally off the mark. I think NextFest was excellent for a few years (maybe once a year) for serious developers. Now, with the rise of constant AI slop, and NextFest happening two (or is it three?) times a year, it's causing more harm than good to legitimate devs. That's the vibe I get

Anyway, I think it's time to retire or revamp NextFest. Once a year. No games using AI. Games can only qualify if there's some kind of proof that the dev has made at least some attempt to market them beforehand, maybe. I dunno. All I know is now I see NextFest and sigh.
