Until Kate Clanchy can explain to me what a Cypriot bosom is, i refuse to engage with any of her nonsense

Wow what a shock, Kate Clanchy who made a massive song and dance about her 'cancellation' turned out to be a general reactionary rent a gob for the literary world - who would have THUNK it?? 🤯

oh god no what did we do to deserve this

Clanchy barely writes a coherent sentence off the cuff. The whole debacle was because she went on GoodReads and got pissed at a bad review; her story has always been transparent nonsense. Still, she's the right sort of chap, so people like Pullman went to bat for her

It's worth noting that when he writers of colour originally critiqued Clanchy, they were the ones who received a torrent of racist harassment as a result - which then kicked off again when the BBC did their recent radio series about her. Getting cancelled, eh?
