I don't use defined palettes, and if it weren't for gif size limitations based on color, I'd likely not worry about them at all. Gotta thank all those old gif animators that used to confuse me for getting me to establish basic sprite colors.

i use Endesga 64 for most of GGGG’s art but i don’t strictly limit myself to it, especially because it’s lacking in bright purple tones
