It's not really about sacrifice or the willingness to do hard things, it's about ego & reinforcing the sense of oneself as a hard man. Hard men look out for them & theirs, & if that means everyone else goes to hell, so be it. And then something bad happens to them & a new tantrum starts.

There's this "childish delusion that they were going to bomb everyone and nobody was going to bomb them" aspect to the social manners of the reactionaries Which of course is, at its root, sir/boy The whole point is a society where no one can talk back to them

Here we see how the simple minds of reactionaries are led astray In their "lacks a theory of mind" way, they conceived of this as a super difficult question for AES to answer He answered it like "does 2+2=4?" That doesn't even register *as* an answer, for them
