I felt very old when I had to ask a 24-year-old what "Tommy K" was. Expected it was some brand of clothing. She looked at me like I was living under a rock and said "Tomato ketchup".

My oldest brother no longer makes any effort with my mum. She spent 60 years telling us all she loved us all equally. She confided in me last week that she's cut him out of her will. I'm so happy she's finally recognised his selfishness.

I've had a short beard for most of my adult life, but decided to go back to clean shaven. I've told everyone it's because I wanted a change, but really it's because every time I looked in the mirror, I saw my Dad on his death bed after he'd given up.

I took a parcel in for a neighbour and didn't tell my wife. She opened it thinking it was ours, to our horror the neighbours had ordered a sex toy and we had opened the box. We taped it back up the best we could. and let them collect it. I can't look them in the eye anymore.
