I remember before I came out how sad this day was for me, how jealous I was of people who were out and proud and happy. I'm grateful I made it to this point

I've never stopped coming out, it's a life long journey. I still get nervous mentioning my partner to new people or coworkers But 10 years later, I have the coolest job, the greatest of friends, a loving fiancee, and the family who judged me are far from my life

Happy National Coming Out day I officially came out 10 years ago. Which is wild, I vividly remember thinking about what this would mean for myself 10 years in the future I lost friends, I was judged by family, I was reprimanded at work. It was a painful and dark process.
