yeah that’s the thing that kills me. GPUs are incredibly inflated in price because companies without a product need them for data centers that don’t exist so they can install their servers that don’t exist. meanwhile the GPU supplier reserves all supply for the “totally real ™” demand

they’re stacking chatbot gpus in warehouses that they can’t plug in because there’s not enough electricity and there’s no data centers fo them. and if they did plug them in the emissions would devastate the climate. they never will be used and they never should be. and they’re useless for gaming
