I love how the investigators were like “Yeah they were guilty of committing a war crime, but in all honesty anybody would’ve done the same. Charges dropped.”

Dunno how to look it up, but I remember hearing a story of troops who discovered the conditions of concentration camps in World War II, then decided to knowingly commit a war crime right then and there by lining up all the guards against a wall and shooting them. Anyone know what I’m talking about?
