Protecting science journalists from harassment is also about editorial independence. If journalists avoid certain topics because of anticipated abuse, harassment can influence what science gets covered, not just the working conditions of those reporting it. That deserves closer investigation.

5/ This is not a class action lawsuit. The FCA mechanism is different. The intent is to recover funds for the gov, while creating greater transparency in pricing and ensuring that money destined for research and making knowledge public goes towards those purposes—not extracted for private profit.
