Many accounts don´t possess the expertise required to read and understand scientific literature. In the case of medical papers, they will interpret what is physiological as pathological, or extrapolate findings from a specific population to all, only to gain followers. 3/4

Against belief, reason falls on deaf ears. Neither protests nor reasoning accomplishes anything. The believer is under a spell, blinded, misused, and abused in his/her very being. Discussions with beliefs are hence a waste of time. Showing the data is all we can do. 1/4
