As long as children are treated as parental property, this will continue to be an episodic crisis. And children-as-property is unfortunately kind of a load-bearing assumption of surrogacy, isn't it? Maybe we really are in a bind.
Show PostThis is an edge case for surrogacy but it's not that hard to build a protective legislative and ethical framework around. The hard part is that said framework has to be predicated on the belief that no one - legal parent or birth parent - has the right to veto necessary medical procedures for kids.

generally the lack of it in art and writing as a whole is just sort of because a lot of "woman with a penis" stuff tends to just slap on the function and anatomy of someone who has strictly testosterone-driven function. otherwise you'd also see hyaluronic acid serum instead of thick white substance
