The best part of this is that none of the people who do this have anything resembling a theory of change. They’re convinced the current state is awful, and the halcyon future stand can’t be realized only because you and your reality-based ilk refuse to acknowledge the terrible current state.

I just saw a huge prominent account talking about throwing people off buildings and, like, joke or not, what is happening here? That is not an appropriate way to talk someone referencing empirical studies of poverty

Someone having a view you disagree with isn’t an excuse to be like this. The world is complicated and people will disagree with you on things. Being good and decent and thoughtful doesn’t guarantee full agreement with you on everything
