I just gave a keynote on intelligence and AI at the Santa Fe Institute with Ted Chiang sitting right in front of me and I have not experienced anxiety like that since I was 17 years old. (He is lovely and kind, fear was my body’s response to having to suppress a shit-ton of weird fangirl energy)
