#TaiwanArchives: The first #parachute wedding took place in #Taiwan in 1959, in which the betrothed couple leaped out of a military plane, a C-46 Commando decorated in #wedding colors. Over 5,000 people witnessed their kiss upon landing. They then had their union officiated at a Pingtung chapel.
