@rtypography.bsky.socialErik van Blokland (and friends), giving me a micro-tour of Berlin, points to the former residence of Trixie… yes, THAT Trixie.
Show PostYeah, I tried first at 10pt and it did not look "right" -- Also not as a long text on my screen in larger sizes. 9pt and 8pt seemed good. This will stay as a test folder (and print) until I run into a use for it.
Show PostSubjectively I avoid too much monolinearity for text, tho of course it does help at sizes like 9pt & smaller. I'd worry about this at 12pt, a little more contrast feels nicer to me at least in long form. In advertising copy it might work, where the design feature might be an asset not a distraction.
Show PostI think it might work as a text cut, 9pt on paper gives a thick and compact text. (I downloaded the test files with minimal character set.)
Show PostYes, I enjoyed playing with it in the type tester! Seems to have very good bones, but probably only for display in this cut. Maybe a text cut will be done one day??
