Really touched that a family I've been working with for many years in our NHS clinic kindly gave me a bottle of Zaytoun olive oil - a farewell after their moving on from our children's service. Thought it most apt to use it for a Palestinian dish of chicken musakhan. (recipe via Falastin cookbook) 🫒

Fabulous time at Douk - a food market celebrating Lebanese food culture, with all proceeds going to a Beirut youth charity & community kitchen. Amazing food, including Phil Khoury's beautiful bistan trifle with caramelised pears, almond sponge & saffron custard, and a 'kunafa mess' by Toum & Tahini.
