An emotional encounter. 🥰🌿🦉 This was truly an unexpected gift. Since I started bird watching in 2019 I have seen one owl, a great horned. This summer I had the privilege to see two Barred owls (juvenile) during my vacation in Fl.💚 Hope everyone is enjoying the outdoors and the weekend.🐦🌼

I love the Violet-headed Hummingbirds, and I spent some time with this male today at @tapirvalley.bsky.social. These are much more skittish than the Snowcap and he demanded that I keep a respectful distance from him. #birds #hummingbirds #costarica
