I love how Zettlr is designed with generosity & care. Not only is it a free (& designed for easy use with other free software like Zotero or Pandoc), but even its documentation explains how its syntax fits into Markdown flavors overall. Truly, @hendrik-erz.de deserves to win awards for this work!

If Obsidian seems interesting, you might also take a look at Zettlr ( @zettlr.com ), which is similar but made with academic writing & similar projects in mind. Obsidian is great & I use it daily! Some people just find it overwhelming, so I thought I'd mention Zettlr as another solid option.

I loved the improvements, especially now that I’m close to a submission deadline and I’m on full editing mode! The visual is better and the exporting bug I was experiencing is solved!

I like that there are many options for exporting, but I would like a shortcut to my favorite/most used ones. Sometimes I need to scroll many times cuz I cannot see the one I’m looking for (the option is there, but with brain fog, easy tasks get harder). Thanks for all your great work ><

Always delighted to seize a chance to share this 2014 tutorial from @proghist.bsky.social! Or, if you're interested in Markdown but less interested in the command line, @zettlr.com does all this within a free app.
