One last thing about X tonight: noting X has 10x the number of regular users than Bluesky means jack shit when a) a shitload are bots, b) the algorithm boosts right-wing content over everything else so actual engagement there sucks, c) 10 million active accounts is more than enough to hang out with.

There is a sort of bafflingly arrogant delusion in people who think 10 million active accounts just isn't enough for the importance of what they have to say. Like yeah, I'm bummed a lot of my industry community went to threads, but I'm here to post garden pics & talk to nerds, 10 mil is plenty.
