GK - Mia Justus (Utah Royals) Justus is clearly a starting-caliber keeper, at the least, which she showed in her 7 starts. Unfortunately for her, she also plays at the same club as national team-level GK Mandy McGlynn. Chicago or Orlando coming in with a godfather offer for her would not shock me.

CB - Maycee Bell (North Carolina) I love watching Bell, who's got the strength, size, and skill you want in a modern central defender, and just needs a bit more consistently. That seemed like it was coming together! when she suffered a brutal-looking shoulder injury to take her out for the season

CB - Emily Sonnett (Gotham FC) Sonnett was perhaps the frontrunner for defender of the year when she went down with a season-ending injury, locking down Gotham's back line. Gotham has managed to survive her injury so far thanks to having Jess Carter as an option, but the depth is getting strained.
