Evacuations can happen quickly.   Be ready by pre-registering for Emergency Support Services before you need help.   Pre-registration can help BC residents access services more quickly if evacuated.

If you're under an evacuation order, leave now. Follow your local authorities, and stay up to date at EmergencyInfoBC.ca   To our first responders: thank you. We'll keep working around the clock to keep people safe.

We've declared a provincewide State of Provincial Emergency as the new, fast-moving Bald Range wildfire forces thousands of people from their homes in the Summerland area.   At every step, we're focused on ensuring that emergency crews have the tools they need to protect people and communities.

We’re beyond grateful to our friends and partners in Mexico for sending hundreds of firefighters to B.C. They’re joining a team of roughly 2,000 wildfire service personnel who are working tirelessly to get these fires under control.

Such a terrible boat accident off B.C.’s coast. My thoughts are with the families and friends of those lost in this tragedy. Thank you to those who stopped to help, and to our brave coast guard rescue crews.
