Imagine that you have a penalty-shot style situation, where a single skater picks up the puck at centre ice, skates in on a goalie and tries to score. Imagine also that there is a line drawn on the ice, like a sort of 3pt-arc, that the shooter is not allowed to bring the puck inside.
