🌱 This is our open pollinated seedling of Maurizio Vecchia’s #Passiflora ‘La Morellina’ which he named after his favourite wine. Ours is named after my dad’s favourite wine. Meet #Passiflora ‘Blue Nun’ It’s a tricksy thing but lovely and the flowers stay open for 3 days.
Show PostThis is #passiflora tucumanensis (previously P. naviculata) which is from high mountainous areas in South America is potentially hardy and I will be testing it next year. It had a bad winter in the greenhouse and this is its first flower this year.
Show Post#Passiflora racemosa ‘Buzios’ is a particular Autumn highlight with its racemes of lovely pink flowers and colourful balloon like buds dangling from the greenhouse roof.
Show Post🌱 With a couple of passionflower talks coming up in the next month or so I wanted to illustrate how they grow up into rainforest canopies then flop at the top triggering side shoots and flowering. I grew a P. caerulea up the seating area into the wisteria. It worked!
