Just met a coworker for lunch who wanted to pick my brain about doctoral programs. She told me that I light up when I talk about my research and wants to feel that way about her own. If you're feeling despair today, spend time with someone you can get excited about stuff with. I promise it helps.

Volunteer! I'm also an introvert and animal lover. I volunteer for a local rescue doing all the behind the scenes applications so I get to talk dogs a lot. 🐾❤️

Not if I'm not able to advocate for my electorate the way I would want to be able to. So, I found other ways to try to make a difference that are also within my wheelhouse. It's a valid question though, and one I think everyone has asked me when I have stated my reasons!!
