I wouldn't be surprised if this was due to corporate since apparently (and for all I know this could be completely false) Fair Play (Who also developed this game) also wanted Plankton to acknowledge the games in NASB 2 via dialogue with Vlad but weren't allowed to which would check out with this

Then in the game itself they have this dialogue that implies they have seen each other, but later they just straight up suggest that those games take place in an alternate universe which is the funniest way they could have ever addressed this (Made especially funny considering Power Hour is a thing)
