At the end of the day, she put that line in there for herself. I should reread her interview bc I’m fine reading opposing statements. But I just think ppl forgot that was a personal thing for her and she’s not aligning with fascism bc of her OC who as far as we know has no imperial ambition at all.
Show PostThe Acolyte is her story. Qimir is her character. While ppl are definitely allowed to disagree with the scene, I think many ppl related. And not to mention she has a similar statement come from mother Aniseya which was intentional.
Show PostPpl got so hung up on Leslye’s personal feelings about sith and interpreting her alienation through Qimir, that they took that as her equating queerness to space fascism and misunderstanding Star Wars and I just really want people to pause for a second. Because those are two different things.
Show Postthe acolyte made sw exciting again.
