FT could highlight the fact that journalists on the ground are lacking here - 250+ Palestinian ones murdered by Israel, foreign journalists not allowed in - by Israel. How does one get to the truth? Not sure taking Israel’s word for it, under the circumstances, is the answer.

I think it behooves journalists to report on public speeches by the head of MI5 with a healthy degree of scepticism rather than just treating the security service’s word as gospel.

Cannot stress enough to all the people who say "oh but you need a broad tax base/the billionaires can't fund everything" is that the whole point of taxing the rich is to take money off them. Everything else is a subsidiary concern.
