I am angry tonight. Because tonight ICE shot a New Yorker. They shot a New Yorker while his five year old child was in the car. ICE makes this city less safe. We want them out. Now.

I enjoyed writing this piece for The Transmitter. AI is a seismic change for science. What we make of it is up to us, but it’s a decision we can only make collectively. I hope more labs, and the field at large, will engage in finding a shared view of how we want to use AI.

I talked to @engadget.com about why ChatGPT for Teens needs to take disordered eating seriously. It's definitely a tension. Incentives are not well aligned for publishing a lot of the stuff that IMHO would be the most useful to disseminate (e.g., psychometric and other measurement stuff that seems "boring" but is really essential to get right).
