Me - and many of my friends, especially Democratic State Committee members - scream about this on the NY level. The state party would rather give up parts of the state than invest in year round organizing. There is no long term plan, let alone a long term vision for New York and it’s infuriating.

Liz Vladeck is very adept. For me, here's the key question: what directive will City Hall give her? Will it be to "save" the city money—i.e., privatize the cost of forcing city workers to live on salaries that don't even keep up with inflation? Or will it be to take responsibility for those costs?
