Quite a few religious people bristle at humanism, because it removes the divine authority card! Humanism proves we can think, care, and act ethically without sacred commands, and that threatens belief systems which are built on certainty, obedience, & exclusivity! Don’t let theists crush humanism!

Plain humanism with morality focusing on ethics and demolishing central authority is what we should be focusing on. The tribalism with communities should be deconstructed and challenged. It hinders progress for humanity, and it's coercive to individuals who want self-improvement.
Show PostI appreciate that The Path values community & ethical guidance. That said, no single group should claim a monopoly on meaning or morality! These are responsibilities we all share. Emphasising shared, participatory guidance feels healthier to me than any centralised authority.
Show PostI bet that might well change over time. Why call it ‘The Path’? Why not just saying what you stand for, what you believe as a person. Why put it in an organisation? The motive is very unclear.
