Una abeja Hylaeus comiendo polen en una apiácea del RJB-CSIC. Las diminutas Hylaeus no tienen pelo en las patas o bajo el "abdomen" para transportar el polen como otras abejas. Se lo comen y luego lo regurgitan en el nido para dejar una reserva de comida junto a cada huevo.
