Well this was prescient. I'm again seeing trans people harassed for criticizing anti-trans Dems with "you wouldn't vote for a 'lesser evil' to stop Hitler becoming president!!!" In 1932 a lot of people did vote for a "lesser evil" to stop exactly that. He promptly put Hitler in power.

The '04 election was the first time I heard that argument. Ngl I bought into it, after 20+ years the evidence is clear it's a failure. Like I get it, it's super hard to admit a previous idea was a failure, like I thought I was a dude once and admitted that it wasn't for me after 37 years.
