Hi. I'm struggling to find the right words, so I'm going to stumble through this. A friend of mine took his own life recently. I thought you were him, until seeing your posts today. When sharing the news with friends, I had written a message I'd like to share a part of.

Life is difficult. Even when we overcome trials, they can take their toll and leave us struggling with a weight we didn't have before. It often feels best to try and hide it, to spare our friends and loved ones from our burdens, to put on a face and pretend everything is alright.

But doing so just makes it more difficult for others to know when something is wrong, and doesn't spare anyone the grief. It's okay to be struggling. Its okay let your friends know that you need help. Its okay to rely on them when you need to.

It can be scary to take that first step and open up. Life is difficult, but its a little easier when we face it together. You are cared for. You are loved. I can only wish now that my friend knew how much he was loved. I hope you can find peace and a path forward.
