I hit a Badger right outside the campsite for BirdFair one year. It just ran straight into the car as I was slowing to make a turn. Was dead by the time we got out of the car to check. Still think about it whenever I see a dead one on the roads around here (at least once a week 😥)

Oh my dear. The other day I was running a string-trimmer and flicked a garter snake and wounded it. That was horrible enough. Do what you can to make amends—maybe not specifically to badgers but to the ecosystem. Ask for forgiveness, then forgive yourself. Animals understand love & twists of fate.
