also, great podcast—I’ve been a big fan of Phase II (III? IV? i.e Kaputt on) Dan for a few years, and have been meaning to go back and give the earlier albums more attention, and this is the perfect context for it and very funny to boot 🫡
Show PostThis album had some play at my college radio station, and it was (as the station’s resident Marshall Crenshaw/XTC/TMBG guy) “the really noisy album I still really liked” for that year, succeeding iirc the Fatima Mansions’ “Viva Dead Ponies”. Hadn’t thought of it in years, but it all makes sense now!
