Pretty jazzed! In two weeks I get to invade my wife's highschool lit class and introduce Moby-Dick. The kids are apparently chomping at the bit to read it already, so I won't have to do my usual initial sales pitch, but I will get to talk about why the things that stumble people are actually rad.

I don't wanna leave games! I have stuff I wanna do and I do my best work in them. But my choices now are largely agency projects under duress or in-house positions with poor pay and worse hours. And I can't get recruiters or anyone else to talk to me about any other work! I feel genuinely useless.

i try not to post this too much, but so often it feels like nothing i do is good enough to sustain the income i used to have i have niche expergise, 12 years of loc experience, top notch prose, high metacritics and it all means nothing, not even my current sponsor can be assed to renew my visa

woke up from a nap to wanting to throw my phone after an agency warned if i don't do their ai mtpe course, they're gonna prioritize work to those who have nice token of appreciation after i've won them projects and put out fires i am so fucking tired of my seniority and tenure meaning nothing lol
