Maybe! (I work in a system where we very rarely give grades or scores - we feedback and report on progress, but not with any numerical scores or grades for most of the time)

Ideally yes. In the Western system of high stakes assessment however, it is being tied to who gets access & equity through truly biased, interconnected systems. The key here is to look at the folks creating assessments and of who's standards.
