Carrying on the insect theme, here's one I'm now rather familiar with: the bog bush-cricket (Metrioptera brachyptera). #metriopterabrachyptera #entomology #orthoptera #insect Hint: If I tell you I put this one in Scotland, that should be enough information for you to find it... Easy, right?

A beetle I've yet to see but am very fond of: the northern dune tiger beetle (Cicindela hybrida). #beetle #cicindelahybrida #entomology #coleoptera #insect Hint: This area is home to not only this marvellous tiny predator, but also, erm... the UK's low level radioactive waste?!
