Show PostAs long as commits are properly reviewed and not merged blindly, I don't really see a problem. Panicking over every single AI-generated change isn't the right approach either. Honestly, it's getting a bit ridiculous. 🙄
Show PostYeah this pretty much nails it. Its fine as long as it's reviewed and tested by devs who understand the code.
Show Post[1/2] That's an important point. Quite apart from the fact that AI probably won't be used for absolutely everything (code quality for complex projects is still low) in the near future, reviewing and debugging code often requires a deeper understanding of the system than writing it from scratch.
Show Post[2/2] When a junior dev has to fix AI's hallucinated logic, trace a bug through multiple files, or figure out why a specific environment configuration is breaking the build, they ARE doing actual development. The learning process will just shift. It must shift. AI will stay and devs need to adapt.
