Show Post@scienceofsportpod.bsky.social 1/2 In a recent pod you talked about TV advertising and what happens with the Ashes being 2 days instead of 5. At least in the US, there’s a thing called a “make good” so if an advertiser, guaranteed a certain viewership, does not get that viewership …
Show Post2/2 for some reason does not receive the guaranteed viewership due to an event ending early (or low viewership overall) then they receive “make goods” which is placement of the ad in a similarly rated demographic slot until the original contract is fulfilled.
Show Post2/2 It was interesting as I just got back into cycling after a break and debated with do I just ride however I want or follow a structured “base building” sched before I then get into a “build” phase w/more intense work. Lots of discussion to be had off that pod.
Show Post1/2 Z2 podcast w/Brendan was a bit mind blowing-there are so many things that are needed w/what was being discussed like does “base” training (<Z2) make high end fitness “stick” better? What about specificity-cyclocross vs Ironman? And periodization (more/less Z2 at particular times of the season?
