These plants would take many years to build and would require a huge outlay, a huge expenditure while consumers aren't spending money, while shelves are empty and what is there is more expensive? Who would invest tens of millions of dollars in a five year plan in this environment?

The folks trading stocks lean right and believe the lies. They're hopeful and buy when someone Trump won't listen to tells them they're gonna deescalate. They're rubes in the pump and dump scheme they do on a weekly basis. Same with Elon's excuses. Reality will catch up hard.
