Just a note- separatists pitched option 2 to hold a binding referendum as a way to send a message to Ottawa. Many folks jumped on that idea. Which means, no, 24.5% of Albertans do not support separation. The actual number is lower.

I’m having a hard time understanding all the celebration around the Alberta vote. Sure, they rejected separation, but that was never the point of the referendum. The government was seeking permission to institute racist policies… and they got it!

Yep yep this. I'm not celebrating over here. Sure, we've postponed (another) separatist referendum bid (they're not going to give up, because the people funding them and pulling their strings are not), but. *Confirmation* that Alberta is mostly bigot by volume? Not fun.

Saddened by the news of what happened at the Canadian Forces Base Wainwright today. My deepest condolences to the families of the service members who lost their lives. My thoughts are with all those injured and the brave first responders on the scene.
