Before St Mary's churchyard in Whitby was closed to burials mourners often carried coffins up the 199 steps, pausing on wooden planks to rest. Though a horse and carriage could take the body via Green Lane, many chose the traditional path to their final resting place.

The most shocking thing about Starmer's voice coach scandal isn't that he allegedly classified her as an essential worker to circumvent Covid rules. It's that he's had voice coaching, and he still speaks in that whiny, sanctimonious nasal drone. What a waste of money!
