Excellent work by @foianate.bsky.social, as always. I remember asking the 11th Archivist of the United States about this in 2017, & being referred to Chairman Cummings in 2019 when I brought up presidential records destruction. @pelosi.house.gov & President Biden & @schumer.senate.gov all moved on.

In 1989, COG whistleblower Fred Westerman sued FEMA for documents. The judge granted FEMA's motion for summary judgment. Whatever documents Fred was after have long since been destroyed as part of FEMA's records retention policy. cc: @vermontgmg.bsky.social @foianate.bsky.social
