Since it appears article is MOSTLY about the UK (I’m in Italy) I will say I spent 3 months there at beginning of this and while I loved it the people of Yorkshire (specifically Settle) were kind of dicks. If this is an article solely about the denizens of a small village not being nice, I’m on board

Did this four years ago. It’s not a paradise, if that’s what you expected that’s pretty silly. I’m pretty happy with my choice. And to the specific points here the trains are GREAT, I had to rush my four year old to the emergency room and was charged 18 euro, and people are almost comically nice.

The reason is very strange as well. Its doesn't make sense to me. Very sad cause they seemed happy but as they say you can never truly know what people are going through.
