I mentioned I graduated HS in 2010 and one of the undergrads said he “loved the aesthetics of like American high school in 2008” and mentioned he watches old camcorder videos on YouTube. Seemed crazy to me until he said it’s “so cool seeing what it would have been like to be a teen without phones”

I fell in love with philosophy in high school tnx to Socrates and the idea that, when we discuss with each other, the correct reasoning leads us all to truth. After 25 years I'm more convinced than ever that this is delusional on so many levels, but can't let go of this idea.
