Mental health professionals by and large agree that exploring dark themes in fiction is not only harmless, but is actually a very GOOD way to cope, heal, and express yourself in general. Censorship only serves the oppressors and we will ALL suffer for your pearl clutching.

"But my abuse-" My first partner was a lesbian who heavily physically, emotionally and mentally abused me. If I said, "I hated all lesbians because I was abused by one," y'all would rightfully call me a bigot. The same applies to incestuous folks and paraphiles. Your experiences aren't universal.
