After the V-22 Osprey, Bell-Boeing proposed the Quad TiltRotor. This 'V-44' would have 8-9 tons of cargo capacity in a payload bay matching the size of a C-130, while a "Big Boy" version would lift 16-26 tons using 17m diameter rotors.
