like phoenix does mention she sent him a bunch of steel samurai tapes in turnabout corner but i wholeheartedly think this is a case of "let's focus on the new cast" and not "phoenix and maya (who are shown to be incredibly close) haven't seen each other in 7 years"

also one of my main (admittedly minor) gripes i had w apollo justice is like. i can believe phoenix not wanting edgeworth to see how far he'd fallen (even though i doubt edgeworth would judge him for it) but ain't no way he just. never saw maya once in 7+ years 😭 #aceattorney
